![]() Miguel Falquez-Certain was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. He has published short stories, poems, essays, translations, and theater, book, and film reviews in Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, the United States and Venezuela. His most recent volumes of poetry are Palimpsestos (silver medal, Ibero-American Poets and Writers Guild in 1996), Userpaciones (finalist at the second Latin American Writers Institute poetry contest in 1990) and Double Corona, all published in 1997. His translation into English of Gabriel Garcia Marquezs monologic Diatribe de amor contra un hombre sentado had a run in April of 1996 at Teatro Repertario Espaņol in New York. |
